They have identified a group of naturally occurring chemicals abundant in cherries that could help lower blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. In early laboratory studies using animal pancreatic cells, the chemicals, called anthocyanins, increased insulin production by 50 percent, according to a peer-reviewed study scheduled to appear in the Jan. 5 issue of the American Chemical Society's Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.

Awwww, Keith… you made me cry. The narrow-minded will never fucking learn until this kind of denial of their human rights applies to them. Only then will they see.
This is quite possibly one of the most moving moments in journalism that I have seen in my lifetime. I was deeply, deeply disappointed when I found out that Prop. 8 passed. It’s a sad day when something like this passes…especially in a state that is being looked to as a barometer for these issues from around the country. I just don’t know what people were thinking…I’m completely befuddled…
